Corey Combe exhibits values of hard work, integrity

Nov 1 2012 - 1:45pm

The Combe name has a long and proud history in Weber County. Emigrating to Utah from the Piedmont region of Italy in the 1800's, the Combe's were soon recognized as being honest, hardworking, and industrious. They willingly participated in and supported the community in which they lived.

Now, five generations later, community activist and successful businessman Corey Combe has made the determination to continue the traditions of his storied ancestors by becoming a candidate for Weber County Commissioner. At a very young age Corey was taught the meaning of responsibility and hard work while helping on the family dairy farm. The lessons learned in his youth instilled in him the belief that anything can be accomplished with dedication and hard work as is evident by his highly successful Combe Tree Farms that he and his family have operated for over 40 years at a well known location on a road that bears the family name, Combe Road.

Having been involved in the community for over 25 years I have witnessed firsthand Corey's willingness to roll up his sleeves and go to work in support of many community projects throughout Weber County. With the success of Combe Tree Farms, he has been fortunate to have the resources to make significant contributions to the George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park, Beus Pond Park, Forest Green Park, the Ogden River Parkway and more. In addition he has generously supported the Christmas Box House, Lindquist Field and the Eccles Community Art Center.

His generosity will once again be evident with his commitment to the new Lantern House that will succeed St. Anne's Center, which has served Weber County's homeless population since 1981. His selfless and ongoing support has also left a lasting mark on many other communities within Weber County to include Roy, Marriot/Slaterville, Uintah and South Ogden to name but a few.

When you go to the polls on November 6 to cast your ballot for Weber County Commissioner, your choice should be clear. As residents of Weber County I encourage you to vote for the candidate who represents your values including honesty, integrity, hard work, and a willingness to work together with all citizens to unite our community.

On November 6, vote Corey Combe for Weber County Commissioner.
