Albert Lenard Smith of Farmington will celebrate his 80th birthday. He will greet friends and neighbors at an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 10 at the Steed Creek LDS church, 347 S. 200 West, Farmington.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1932. He grew up with his two brothers and two sisters on his Dad’s farm in Randolph.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a carpenter for Utah Department of Transportation for 35 years. He was honored by the legislature for employee of the year.

He married Erma Hinckley and has seven children (one deceased). He has 34 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with three on the way. He enjoys celebrating birthdays, especially his 80th.
