Ogden couple honored for 70 years

Glen J. and Lynette S. Judd observed their 70th wedding anniversary with a family dinner held at The Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City on Nov. 3.

They were married Nov. 3, 1942, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

They were self-employed with G & L Feeds in Coalville. He worked for Hi-Land Dairy as a division manager in Vernal, Ogden, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas before returning to Ogden. He then work for Security National Life Insurance.

They have been active in the LDS Church all their lives. She served in the presidency and taught in the women’s organizations in various wards and stakes. He served an LDS mission in the east central states, served in three bishoprics, was bishop of the Ogden LDS 37th Ward and held other priesthood callings. They served LDS missions in Detroit and Lansing, Mich. They also served as officiators in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Their six children and spouses are Carol and Eugene Valdez, Sue Judd, Terry and Carlyle Shaw, Chris and Kerry Judd, Jill and (Jim deceased) Judd, and Nadine and Kelly McGarry. They have 28 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
