Man seriously injured in Tuesday motorcycle crash in Ogden

OGDEN — A 45-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night in Ogden.

The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. at 180 Tyler St., said Ogden Police Lt. Tony Fox.

The man was traveling east on Cook Street, turned south on Tyler Avenue, failed to negotiate the turn and crashed his 1998 Kawasaki 650, said Fox.

The man sustained a severe head injury, and a female passenger on the motorcycle injured her right wrist.

They were both taken by ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital, and their medical conditions were unknown late Tuesday night. Their names were not released.

Charges are pending in the crash, Fox said.
