In response to the Nov. 5 letter, "Utahns appallingly ignorant about U.N": The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) has a site explaining young people’s guide to sexual rights. The IPPF is backed by the United Nations Population Fund for special projects. This one agenda alone, and there are many U.N. agendas, is enough to make this ignorant Utahan question the integrity of the U.N. However, I suspect the letter writer is aware of this guide for our youth since he is so well read on the subject of the U.N.
As one example of the guide for children’s sexual rights, Right number 5, found on page 22 reads, "The right to personal autonomy and to be recognized as an individual before the law: Empowerment to decide freely when, with
whom and how to have sex."
