CLEARFIELD -- St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 1579 S. State St. in Clearfield, is welcoming Diocesan Bishop The Rt. Rev. Scott Hayashi on his annual parish visit at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
To mark the occasion, the parish has raised more than $1,100 so far to contribute in his name to a Wine to Water Project.
This project, supported by the National Episcopal Church, helps provide clean drinking water to villages, schools and clinics in the form of drilling wells and filtration units for countries around the globe.
As each well costs $500, the parish will be able to provide two wells in Cambodia and and five filtration units, three in Haiti and two in Uganda.
