Icy morning roads snag a few drivers

OGDEN — Saturday morning proved to be a bit tricky for people who rose early to brave the roads.

Davis County sheriff’s dispatchers said a number of drivers slid off Interstate 15 and troopers were kept busy going from one accident to another.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Lawrence Hopper said there were 14 accidents on I-15 from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, but no one was injured.

Box Elder dispatchers said the roads in their area were a bit slippery before 10 a.m., which caused a few accidents.

Weber County dispatchers said they received only a few accident reports.
