Ogden couple shares 70 years
George E. and I. Fae Wilson of Ogden celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past week.
They met while attending school in Malad, Idaho. They were married on Halloween, Oct. 31, 1942, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.
He was born in Malad, Idaho, to George G. and Myra Heward Wilson. He served in the Army during World War II and retired from Hill Air Force Base.
She was born in Buhl, Idaho, to Guy L. and Marguerite Dennis Wilson. She worked at Hill Air Force Base and the Internal Revenue Service. Their interests include spending time with family and family history.
They raised six sons in Roy and moved to Cornish. Later they moved to Winder, Idaho.
Both have served in many ward and stake positions in the LDS Church.
Their children and spouses are Newell and Kathy Wilson, Layton; Nolan (deceased) and Jenna Wilson, Roy; Nacey and Suzann Wilson, Ogden; Niven and Jeanne Wilson, Clinton; Neldon and Marlene Wilson, Layton; and Nick and Pam Wilson, Harrisville. They have 31 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
