Robert Storey

Robert Butler Storey will celebrate his 80th birthday.

He was born Nov. 14, 1932, to Ralph Ellis and Virginia Butler Storey in Ogden. He was commander in the ROTC at Ogden High School, where he graduated in 1949.

He married Dixie Donoviel. They were married for 22 years and divorced. He then married Jill Christensen Craner on Nov. 21, 1974. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on Nov. 21, 1995.

He was a member of the Powder Mountain Ski Patrol for 20 years and received a national ski patrol number. He worked at Storey Food Products, Farr’s Ice Cream, Rusty’s Drive-In, Fred M. Nye and Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1993 after 42 years of federal service.

An active member of the LDS Church, his callings have included Scouting, high priests presidency, ward membership clerk, employment specialist and home teacher.

He and Jill enjoyed camping in the mountains with family and friends. They traveled throughout the United States, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. He also traveled to Germany.

He has lived in Ogden, Roy and Washington Terrace. His older brother and spouse are Ray Ellis and Linda Storey.

His children and spouses are Taunya and Jeff Williamson, Scott Robert Storey, and Lawrence Tod and Jennifer Storey. His stepchildren are Chad Michael and Susan Craner, and Kimberly Craner and Lanse Chournos. He has 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
