Cancer fundraiser to aid firefighter

CLINTON — A fundraising spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday to benefit Benjamin Rose, a Hooper resident and Salt Lake City firefighter.

He was diagnosed with cancer in July and has undergone surgery and physical therapy and will soon start chemotherapy.

The event, which will include free face-painting for kids, will be at the Clinton City Fire Department, 2153 N. 1500 West.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12, free for those 5-younger, and $30 for a family ticket.

All proceeds will go to the Rose family to help cover extensive medical expenses.
