A first for the Exchange Club

Nov 15 2012 - 3:25pm

Members of the Ogden Noon Exchange Club have announced a milestone.

Gina DeSantis, the secretary of the club, gave birth to a daughter, Olivia, in September.

This marks the first time an active member has given birth in the 75 year history of the Ogden club, states a press release.

Members' recent activities include helping stock shelves and distribute food to the needy at Catholic Community Services and clearing debris, pruning shrubs and cleaning up the grounds at the Youth Impact Center.

Upcoming activities include bell ringing for the Salvation Army and collecting food for the Rescue Mission.

Recent social activities included a tailgate party at a Weber State University football game, a day of fly fishing at the White Ranch in Providence, the last golf outing of the year and a tour and shooting opportunity at the Swanson Tactical Training Center indoor shooting range.

The club meets at noon on Tuesdays at the Ogden Golf & Country Club. New members are welcome. Visit ogdennoonexchange.org for information.
