Bank of Utah plans coat drive, events

OGDEN — In honor of its 60 years in business, Bank of Utah will host a “Warm Bodies, Warm Souls” coat drive from Nov. 26 through Dec. 14.

The public is invited to donate new or clean, gently used coats, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets and other cold-weather accessories at Bank of Utah branch locations.

The cold weather gear will be distributed to homeless and low-income families through Lantern House in Ogden, Cache Food Pantry in Logan, Tremonton Community Pantry, New Hope Crisis Center in Brigham City, Community Action Services and Food Bank in Orem, Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City and Bountiful Community Food Pantry.

In addition to the charity coat drive, Bank of Utah will host a 60th anniversary open house event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at 2605 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

All branches will have light refreshments to celebrate the 60th anniversary all day on Dec. 5 as well.
