Six reappointed to advisory board

FARMINGTON — If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.

The Davis County Commission has reappointed six members to the Davis County Tourism Tax Advisory Board.

The 11-member board makes recommendations to the commission on how to spend the $4.4 million generated annually from the restaurant tax, hotel room tax and vehicle rental tax.

In past years, the group has recommended funding for the roadside signs identifying the USU Botanical Gardens in Kaysville and funding for the future development of the Legacy Events Center in Farmington.

Reappointed to the advisory board to serve until 2015 were Terry Capner, Emma Dugel, Spence Kinard, Teresa Sanderson and current chairman Gary Petersen.

Andy Pettingill was also reappointed to serve until 2014.
