OGDEN -- The Mustangs picked up their eighth road win on Friday and split a feisty two-game series with the Salt Lake Moose over the weekend with a 5-1, 1-3 effort that now gives Ogden the third most team points in the Western States Hockey League at 26.
Christian Kraus and Olle Vennstrom each logged a pair of goals on Friday night and Eryn Siracusa added three assists in the Ogden win.
Mustang goalie Tyler Fallica stopped 27 shots on Friday for his ninth win of the season as Salt Lake goalie Alex Burkekin turned away 35-of-40 Mustang shots in the loss.
Vennstrom also picked up Ogden's only goal on Saturday with a short-handed score early in the second period. He finished the series with three points on a trio of weekend goals.
In a chippy match that saw six game ejections on Saturday, Salt Lake picked up the win despite logging 52 minutes in the penalty box as Talon Miller stopped 42 shots in-goal for the Moose.
Patrick Dwyer and Martin Tolkner each grabbed a pair of points for Salt Lake in Saturday's game with a goal and assist apiece.
The Mustangs (11-7-1-3) will next host the Moose (4-7-0-1) for a two-game series opening at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Nov. 30 at the Weber County Ice Sheet.
