WSU women stomped by Oklahoma State

The Weber State women’s basketball team fell on the road against 22nd-ranked Oklahoma State on Sunday, 101-49.

The Wildcats were outrebounded for the first time on the season, 46-28. WSU forward Kalie Matthews tied for a game-high 18 points with Oklahoma State’s LeShawn Jones in the loss.

The Cowgirls, however, had four other players score in double digits while Matthews — who also had seven rebounds — was the only Wildcat in double digits.

Freshman guard Desiree Ramos added nine points for the Wildcats, who shot 30.4 percent from the floor, compared to 58.9 percent for the Cowgirls.

The Wildcats had 29 turnovers that led to 28 Oklahoma State points.

The Wildcats will hit the hardwood again on Wednesday against Army at the Dee Events Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
