Lila Hill Tyner will celebrate her 80th birthday. Family and friends will honor her at an open house from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Nov. 24 at the Roy Hope Center, 5051 S. 1900 West, Roy.
She was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Iowa to Walter and Nellie Saathoff. She married Glenn W. Hill on Aug. 11, 1950. Together they had three daughters.
They moved to Ogden, where she says she began a long and wonderful career at Mountain Bell. She made many lifelong friends.
She has lived in Roy for the last 43 years. She is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and has served in many positions in the auxiliary.
Many years after Glenn’s death, she met Jack W. Tyner. They were married on Sept. 22, 2004. They have enjoyed many years in their retirement together. Some of their favorite things to do are traveling, watching good movies, spending time with their families and enjoying time together.
