Roy and Marilyn Tubbs of West Weber will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at a dinner with their children on Monday, Nov. 19.

They were wed Nov. 9, 1947, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

Both were raised in Riverdale and attended Weber County schools, graduating from Weber High School.

He was drafted into the Army at the age of 18 and served for 18 months. He retired from the Weber County Road Department in 1989. She retired from First Security Bank in 1991.

Both have held many positions in the LDS Church. They were service missionaries for six years at The Joseph Smith Building in Salt Lake City.

Their children and spouses are Chris and Lawrie (deceased) Skeen, Roy; Kim and Sue Tubbs, Roy; Rusty and Diane Tubbs, Hooper; and Matt (deceased) and Michelle Tubbs, West Weber.

They have 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
