Davis County plans DUI checkpoint Thanksgiving weekend

FARMINGTON — The Davis County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 89 near the pedestrian bridge in Fruit Heights.

The reason for this checkpoint is an increase in drivers operating vehicles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to a news release.

Officers will also inspect driver’s licenses, registrations and auto insurance.
