Ardella J. McMullin celebrated her 80th birthday with her family on Nov. 21.
She is the first of two children born on Nov. 21, 1932, to Paul and Laura P. Day in Lucas, Kan.
She moved with her parents to Utah in 1935 and settled in North Ogden, where she attended elementary school.
In 1948, her family moved to Nampa, Idaho, where she graduated from Cuna High School in 1951.
In 1952, she married Eldon Harrold; they were later divorced.
She then moved with her three children to Brigham City, where she met the love of her life Terrel V. McMullin. They were married April 10, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. She then moved to Layton.
She worked for King’s Drug Store, retiring in 1988 after 19 years of service.
She is an active member of the LDS Church and enjoys gardening, making quilts and doing genealogy.
Her three children and spouses are Clifford L. and Jolyn McMullin, Cheryl Stong and Lori Martinez. She has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with another one due February 2013.
