Ethel Mae Manning Firth of Bothwell will celebrate her 90th birthday. Family and friends are welcome to attend an open house in her honor from 2 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 1 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bothwell church, 10350 W. 11600 North.
She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Logan to LeRoy W. and Vida Ericksen Manning. She married Clair J Firth on Oct. 25, 1943, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Their children and their spouses are Carol and Jesse Petersen, Rex and Kathy Firth, Max and Rebecca Firth, Wayne and Debra Firth, and Wendi and John Kaiserman. She has 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She has always enjoyed music. She played trumpet and string bass in a dance band. She sang with a trio and has served for many decades as Primary and ward chorister. She worked for many years in FamilySearch Indexing as a missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City Family History Mission. She also continues to be a volunteer at the Bear River Valley Hospital.
