MIDVALE — Police in the Salt Lake City area say they have arrested a man in the August shooting death of a 31-year-old man in Midvale.
A Unified Police statement released Monday said Gabriel Gurule was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on aggravated murder charges stemming from the death of Justen Lefave. The 36-year-old man was taken into custody Monday afternoon at a hotel in Midvale.
Gurule is accused of shooting Lefave on August 26, a day after he intended to rob the man, police say.
Police have said that Lefave was shot after he opened his apartment door to speak to two women.
