Texas Road House opens new location in Layton

LAYTON — The Texas Road House will open its new Layton restaurant on Monday.

The restaurant, at the Layton Hills Mall location next to Dick’s Sporting Goods, is the eighth Texas Road House to open in Utah, said Layton Economic Development Specialist Kent G. Andersen.

The restaurant, along with the recently opened Buffalo Wild Wings also on the mall grounds, offers shoppers another restaurant in close proximity in which to dine.

While many malls struggle nationwide, the Layton Hills Mall has a 100 percent lease rate, Andersen said.

Because of the mall’s competitiveness, quality and location, it has one of the highest sales per square foot in the state, said Gaylen Spencer, Layton Hills Mall general manager.

The Layton mall is the foremost shopping location and experience north of Salt Lake City, and Layton is thrilled to have the mall center serving the Top of Utah and Idaho, Mayor Steve Curtis said.
