Farr West business warned about water discharge

FARR WEST -- The city recently made the Weber-Morgan Health Department report, which wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

According to Councilman Tom Burkland, the report was due to a storm water discharge near Jiffy Lube on 2700 North.

“It was reported to the Health Department that they were dumping mop water and washing their ramp onto the neighbor’s property,” Burkland said.

He said city staff have met with the operator and manager of the franchise and discussed possible consequences such as fines and revocation of their license should such practices continue.
