The University of Utah men's basketball squad will stay in Texas to play Texas State tonight in a quest for its first road win of the young season.
Game time is 6 p.m. in San Marcos, Texas.
Utah went 3-0 last week while hosting its Thanksgiving Tournament, then dropped a hard-fought 62-55 game to SMU on Wednesday.
Jarred DuBois finished with a career-high 25 points and four assists as Utah fell to SMU. DuBois led all scorers in the contest, going 9-for-13 from the field and connecting on 5-of-6 three-point tries.
Freshman Jordan Loveridge, one of the Pac-12's leading rebounders finished with his second double-double of the season (10 points, 11 rebounds)
Texas State enters Friday's contest with a 3-3 record. The Bobcats most recently played in the Great Alaska Shootout, where they finished, 1-2. Junior transfer Joel Wright leads the team with an average of 15.2 points per game.
* TCU 61, SOUTHERN UTAH 52: At Fort Worth, Texas, Devonta Abron scored a career-high 17 points and Kyan Anderson led the team with 21 points, as the Horned Frogs beat Southern Utah.
The Horned Frogs (6-2) were aided by Abron's performance in the second half, which included 13 points and four boards.
The Horned Frogs led 31-28 at halftime. Southern Utah (1-5) grabbed a 38-37 lead when Damon Heuir made two free throws with 10:49 to play, but Abron's layup put TCU back in front and they stayed there the rest of the way.
* NOTRE DAME 64, NO. 8 KENTUCKY 50: At South Bend, Ind., Eric Atkins scored 16 points and Notre Dame beat No. 8 Kentucky for its 41st victory in the past 42 home games.
Jack Cooley and Jerian Grant each had 13 points for the Fighting Irish (7-1), who opened an 11-point lead by halftime.
Notre Dame outplayed Kentucky (4-2) inside during the first half and held the Wildcats to a season-low 40 percent shooting for the game. Students rushed the floor after the Irish wrapped up their second win over the Wildcats in the past 13 meetings.
* NO. 7 FLORIDA 82, MARQUETTE 49: At Gainesville, Fla., Michael Frazier II scored 17 points, one of six Florida players in double figures, and the seventh-ranked Gators routed Marquette in the SEC-Big East Challenge.
Florida took control midway through the first half, building a double-digit lead thanks to Frazier's hot hand and solid defense, and never let up.
The Gators (6-0) kept things rolling after the break, opening up a 23-point lead on Will Yeguete's layup.
* NO. 12 GONZAGA 104, LEWIS-CLARK STATE 57: At Spokane, Wash., redshirt freshman Kyle Dranginis scored a season high 30 points, and five other Gonzaga players scored in double figures as the 12th-ranked Bulldogs coasted to a victory over Lewis-Clark State College.
Przemek Karnowski scored 16 points, Sam Dower and David Stockton had 13 each and Kelly Olynk added 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double for Gonzaga (7-0). Drew Barnham, a junior transfer from Memphis, had 11 points for his first double-figure game with the Bulldogs.
P.J. Bolte scored 10 points to lead Lewis-Clark State, an NAIA school from Lewiston, Idaho. The Warriors officially remained unbeaten at 9-0.
