Woman killed in accident identified

OGDEN — Police have identified a woman who was killed Saturday morning when her neighbor, who was backing out of a driveway, backed over her with her car.

The woman was Norma S. Holmgren, 86, of Ogden.

The accident happened on the 1600 East block of 27th Street.

Ogden Lt. Scott Conley called the accident tragic not only because Holmgren died, but because the two women were friends.

Reports indicate that Holmgren was walking on the sidewalk behind the car that hit her. The driver reported the accident to emergency dispatchers.

Holmgren was taken by ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
