Michael and lucy Morrelli

Michael Paul and Lucy Anne Morrelli of Ogden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 30, 1962.
He was born and raised in Ogden. His parents immigrated from Italy. The youngest of five children, he graduated from Ben Lomond High School, Weber State Junior College and the University of Utah. He enjoys animals and is an avid Weber State fan who enjoys cheering for the team.
She was born in Brigham City and raised for most of her life in Ogden. The oldest of eight children, she attended Weber High School, Bonneville High School and Weber State College. She enjoys symphonies, ballets and musicals. She collects elegant figurines. As a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, she enjoys research and learning about her pioneer ancestors.
They say they have accomplished much in their 50 years together. They started many businesses, including Children’s World/Children’s Classic Child Care Centers, and Ligori’s Pizza and Pasta. Their lives have been one of service. They have opened their home to many who have needed a place to live. One of their favorite times was when they served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden Temple, where they made lasting friendships. They now serve at McKay-Dee Hospital each Sunday, teaching and uplifting those in need.
Their children and spouses are Shauna and Larry Kendell, Pleasant View; Justina and Jeffrey Longman, South Ogden; Janna and Dax Durbano, North Ogden; Jeanna and Julio Peña, Ogden; Samuel Morrelli (deceased), and Angela Morrelli, Ogden.
They have 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
