OGDEN -- The Weber State women's basketball team will travel to Orem tonight to face in-state foe Utah Valley University.
Game time is 7 p.m.
The Wildcats are looking for their first win of the season, and will take on a team they have had success with in the past.
Weber State is 3-2 against UVU in a series that started back in 2005 when UVU. Their last meeting was a 10-point Wildcat win in 2009.
The Wildcats are coming off a 67-44 loss at New Mexico on Tuesday.
Coach Bethann Ord's team has struggled so far this season, mostly due to the youthful nature of the team. The Wildcats have nine freshmen on their roster, and the majority are big contributors.
Freshman guard Regina Okoye leads the team in scoring with 9.3 points per game. Freshman forward Kalie Matthews leads the team in rebounding at
7.5 per game.
The Wolverines come into the game at 1-7 overall.
Utah Valley is anchored by senior forward Sammie Jensen, who averages 17.3 points per game.
