Robert and Kaye Kellerstrass

Robert and Kaye Kellerstrass of Taylor elebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City. They also plan a cruise to the Mediterranean in the spring.

They were married in Ogden on Dec. 7, 1962. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on Feb. 19, 1964.

Both were born and raised in Ogden. He is a Weber High School graduate and she of Bonneville High School. He attended the University of Utah, and she worked in business after graduating.

He began working in his father’s trucking business when he was age 15 and continued when the business was sold to PIE Trucking. He retired after 35 years in trucking. They started their own business, K&K Transportation, where they worked together for 21 years.

Active members of the LDS Church, they served in many capacities. He enjoyed serving as bishop, in the bishopric and stake presidency in Riverdale. She enjoys serving in the Relief Society and has served in the Primary, Young Women’s and Relief Society presidencies.

They have three children: Scott Kellerstrass, Cary Kellerstrass and Angie Kellerstrass. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with a third one due in the spring.

They are avid fans of Brigham Young University football and seldom missed a home game through the last 25 years.

They have enjoyed camping and four-wheeling with their family, and several trips to Florida with their business. They say that their children and grandchildren are the lights of their lives.
