OGDEN -- The public is invited to celebrate the retirement of Weber County Commission Chairman Craig Dearden.
A retirement party will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Commission Chambers Breakout Room at the Weber Center, 2380 Washington Blvd.
Dearden has served as an officer in several law enforcement agencies in the area, was elected Weber County Sheriff and appointed the state commissioner of public safety. He also taught in Weber County School District for three years.
After working for the community for almost 40 years, Dearden said he is retiring.
