Farr West council sees need to build sidewalk

FARR WEST -- Council members have decided a safety sidewalk for school students on 2700 North is their top priority.

Councilwoman Ava Painter said she is planning to apply for CBDG funds to help get the ball rolling on the project.

Painter said she also hopes to obtain RAMP grant funds for a future expansion of the senior center.

In other news, Mayor Lee Dickemore said he does not need the city truck for use now that he has taken the position of mayor. He asked city staff to put the oldest of city trucks up for sale. He said it should be worth around $6,000.
