Syracuse housing project receives approval

SYRACUSE -- The city council approved two different measures in regard to a housing project at approximately 2900 South and 2400 West, which will allow the project to move forward.

The council granted final approval for the Fox Haven subdivision, proposed by Clint Sherman, which consists of six lots of 1.61 acres zoned R-1 residential.

As part of that approval, the council also approved a separate measure to dispose of a small parcel at the site to the developer in exchange for in kind services on a road.

The disposal helps clean up a property line in the area, according to Robert Wheatley, director of Public Works.
