OGDEN — Dozens of babies were born Wednesday, but Bently Ezequiel Juarez will be able to tell everyone he was born at exactly 12:12 a.m. on 12/12/12.
The 9-pound, 1-ounce boy, born to Jorge Juarez and Sonia Marquez, was supposed to be born on Christmas Day, but he obviously had other plans.
“I went to the doctor, and he said the baby was sitting really low,” Sonia Marquez said. “The doctor told me I was probably going to have him on the 12th. I didn’t even make the connection because I was in so much pain, and then when he was born right at 12:12, it still didn’t sink in until after the fact.”
The baby will join four sisters and one brother at the family’s Layton home.
“We are really happy it turned out to be on this day,” Marquez said. “He will always know what a special day it was.”
At Brigham City Community Hospital, two babies were born at the 12:12 mark.
Dr. Carlos Dibble delivered the daughter of Mike and Sherri Worl at 12:12 p.m. She joins five other siblings.
A boy, delivered by Dr. Daniel Ferguson, was born at 12:12 p.m. to Amy and Jeremy Call. The newborn joins three siblings.
Elsewhere in the Top of Utah, a total of 17 babies were born Dec. 12 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden and 13 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Five babies entered the world on the date at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, and eight were born at Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton.
