'Pokes down WSU women by 15 points

LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Weber State women’s basketball team lost on the road to red-hot Wyoming 77-62 on Friday night.

Wyoming sophomore forward Kayla Woodward led the Cowgirls (8-1) to the win with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Freshman center Jalen Carpenter led the Wildcats with a career-high 13 points and eight steals, while freshman forward Regina Okoye added nine points and five steals. Kalie Matthews, Desiree Ramos and Brianna Averette each had eight points.

WSU outscored the Cowgirls in the second half 35-33, but Wyoming had a huge lead.
