We need more medical schools, lower tuition

Editor,

Concerning doctor’s pay, a couple of things that would help: First, we need tort reform to get lawyers off the doctors backs (there are way too many lawyers with little to do). Second, we need more medical schools to produce more doctors. Third, tuition costs (for all students) need to be based in reality, and not allowed to rise, simply because the government gives generous loans.

Even with the high cost of doctors today, I am grateful for the quality of care that is given. I spent two years in a country with socialized medicine and witnessed gross malpractice to the point that if I had need of surgery of any kind I would have demanded care in the United States.
