JoAnne and Jack Weir

Jack and JoAnne Weir of Coalville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren during the holidays at a family dinner at Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.

They were married in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple on Dec. 27, 1962.

They were high school sweethearts, graduating from Weber High School. He attended Weber State University and Utah Pipe Trades Vocational School. She attended Brigham Young University and WSU. He retired from Honeywell Inc. as a project manager, and she has been a hairdresser for several years.

They have been active in the LDS Church and have held various ward and stake callings. One of their favorite callings was serving together as guest service missionaries at Temple Square.

Their five daughters and spouses are Kathee and Brent Wiberg, Kristy and Clay Nishijima, Kaylene and Clark Hurd, Kerri Wintle, and Jacci and Steve Strain. They have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
