Let's put an armed 'Grandpa Greeter' in every school

We have volunteers that we train to be crossing guards at every school, correct? I propose that we start a armed guard program in every school district. Take volunteer veterans (and other qualified persons), send them through a training course making sure each is qualified functionally and professionally and them post them at each school as "greeters." We can call it the "Grandpa Greeter" program. I personally know a couple of retired Marine Corp vets that would make excellent "Grandpa Greeters."

We would have more volunteers than we know what to do with!
