PARK CITY— A historic Park City home under renovation has suffered a setback after strong winds knocked it off a temporary base.
The accident Saturday pushed half of the house into new foundation still under construction.
But Park City Fire Battalion Chief Steve Zwirn tells the Deseret News that he believes the house can still be saved.
The house is nearly 120 years old and crews were just a day or two away from securing it on the new floor joist of the new foundation. The home was sitting on temporary shoring about 18 inches above the new foundation when the accident happened.
Winds at the time ranged from 50 to around 75 mph in the region.
