George and Yvonne Howell of Pleasant View celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Prairie Schooner.
They were married Dec. 19, 1952, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
He was born in St. Anthony, Idaho. He graduated from Utah State University and served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. He worked at the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind as a teacher and administrator. He enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
She was born in Preston, Idaho. She attended USU for two years and worked at Marquardt Corp. She was a homemaker for several years before returning to the workforce at the Internal Revenue Service, retiring after 16 years. She enjoys doing genealogy, indexing, gardening and day trips.
Both enjoy doing activities with their family. At present, they volunteer at the Ogden FamilySearch Library.
Their children and spouses are David Howell, Harrisville; Karen and Randy King, Camas, Wash.; Jana Roberts, Layton; and Greg and Heidi Howell, Ogden. They have 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
