Benefit for Emilie set for Saturday

OGDEN — A benefit to support the family of Emilie Parker is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ben Lomond High School, 1080 9th St. in Ogden.

There will be a silent auction offering 70-plus items ranging from gift baskets to season tickets to vacation packages. Refreshments, entertainment by special guests and a balloon launch to remember Emilie and the other victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy will also be part of the event, according to a news release.

All of these items have been donated by local businesses and community supporters.

All of the proceeds will go to the Emilie Parker Memorial Fund.

Anyone wanting to donate, volunteer or help in other ways may call Lindsie Nielsen at 801-452-1817 or Jessica DeBoer at 801-645-8590.
