FARMINGTON -- The time and day of the Davis County Commission's weekly meeting will remain the same, only the commission chairperson will change.
The County Commission recently named Commissioner John Petroff Jr. as the commission chairman for 2013.
Petroff, who in November captured a second four-year term on the commission, replaces Commissioner Bret Millburn, who was chairman for the three-member commission in 2012. Millburn said he has appreciated serving as chairman.
"We have accomplished much as a county. It's been a great year," he said.
Some of the county's major accomplishments in 2012 include the $22.6 million renovation of the Memorial County Courthouse campus.
In a separate action, the commission unanimously approved keeping its weekly meetings at 10 a.m. Tuesdays.
"We will stick with the regular meeting schedule," Millburn said.
The commission meets weekly at the Davis County Administrative Offices building, 61 S. Main St., in Farmington.
Because of the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays, the commission did not meet Dec. 25, nor will they on Jan. 1.
