SR 193 extension to begin Jan. 2

CLEARFIELD — Phase 1 of a project to extend State Road 193 will begin Jan. 2.

The work will occur between Center Street and Main Street in Clearfield and will consist of clearing the site, bringing in fill material, working on the noise wall and privacy fence, storm drain installation and completing remaining utility relocations.

Utah Department of Transportation Region One spokesman Vic Saunders said traffic impacts will be minimal at the beginning of the project.

S.R. 193 will be extended from State Street on 700 South in Clearfield, then around the Clearfield Freeport Center to 200 South and west to 2000 West in Syracuse.

For project information, call the project team at 800-948-4002, or email sr193@utah.gov.
