Wyo. man charged with auto homicide in crash after Utah rock concert

SALT LAKE CITY -- A Wyoming man has been charged with automobile homicide in a Dec. 2 crash in Salt Lake County that killed a passenger after they left a rock concert.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports 28-year-old Jacob Jensen of Boulder, Wyo., also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to stay in one lane.

The Utah Highway Patrol says Jensen lost control of his vehicle on a State Road 202 curve and crashed shortly after he left a Megadeth concert at Saltair.

A passenger, 22-year-old Joshua Wallace of West Jordan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to charging documents, Jensen told investigators he consumed four or five beers and smoked marijuana all day at the concert.

Troopers found a quarter pound of marijuana in the vehicle.
