Editor, Turn on the news, listen to the radio, or the talk around the office. Congress is dysfunctional and should be fired, or Republicans are to blame. I say neither is right and if you want to lay blame to our current situation, look no further than your own mirror. If you voted, then the senator or congressman is doing exactly what they were voted in to do, whether it’s to push the Democratic views or the Republican views, we voted for the person who would best represent our own views and beliefs. Our problem is half the American people feel taxes should be raised to help with the deficit and the other half feel spending should be cut. Do you think a Republican senator who voted for Obamacare would have been re-elected? Our Congress is a reflection of the American people as a whole, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. So, you can blame me because I voted, but we can’t blame Congress since we put them there. And if you don’t vote, I feel you shouldn’t complain because you had no opinion to begin with.
