School would rather transfer kids than offer help

Editor,

My son recently attended Pioneer Elementary School in Farr West. He has attended that school since kindergarten and is now in third grade. This year he started to fall behind and instead of offering more help, he was tested for needing special education. When the scores came back, he was average in all areas.

Once again, instead of offering more help, the principal suggested that he go to a different school. If people read the comments on the school website, they will find similar complaints. Shouldn't our teachers be asking what we can do to help our students instead of asking them to leave to another school?

Fortunately, we have found a new school where the teachers care more about my son's education than the gossip being spread about my family at Pioneer.
