Louis Gossett Jr. to speak at WSU

OGDEN — Weber State’s Center for Diversity & Unity will host a talk by Academy Award winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. on Thursday.

Gossett will speak on “Eracism” at his appearance, at 10:30 a.m. in the Wildcat Theater, Shepherd Union, WSU, 3848 Harrison Blvd. Gossett is founder of the Eracism Foundation (www.eracismfoundation.org).

“Our mission is to eradicate the systematic impacts of all forms of racism by providing programs that foster cultural diversity, historical enrichment, education and antiviolence initiatives,” reads a statement on the website.

The free event will serve as a kickoff event for the Martin Luther King Jr., holiday. For more information from Weber State, call 801-626-7243.
