GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Weber State women's basketball team closed out its first Big Sky Conference road trip of the season with a 73-49 loss to North Dakota.
The Wildcats' bench was outscored by UND's by a total of 45-17 and that was ultimately the difference on Saturday afternoon.
North Dakota was led by freshman Mia Lloyd, who scored 15 points, but UND had three other players in double figures. Katie Houdek finished with 12 and both Emily Evers and Madi Buck added 10 points for North Dakota.
Weber State (0-13 overall, 0-4 Big Sky) was led by Kia Rhodes. Rhodes, one of two seniors on the team, finished with 14 points, tying a career-high. Freshman guard Des Ramos finished with 11 points.
The Wildcats struggled again from the floor, shooting 30.6 percent. The 'Cats struggled from the free throw stripe as well, going 17-for-25 from the line. Weber State only accrued three assists in the game to 21 turnovers. Those turnovers led to 20 UND points.
The Wildcats will be in action on Saturday when they host in-state foe Southern Utah at 2 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
