• Weber County Library hosts the reading discussion “P.S., I Love You: Not So Conventional Love Stories” at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a discussion of “The French Lieutenant’s Woman” by John Fowles. This is a free event at the Ogden Valley branch, 131 S. 7400 East, Huntsville.

Author events this week at Hastings include:

Utah author Jordan Arey discusses and signs copies of his novel “Powers Of Influence” (Homebound Publications, $17.95) 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Logan authors Mr. & Mrs. Bean discuss and sign copies of their children’s book series “Car-Pet Grammerpals” (Tate Publishing, $19.99) 2-4 p.m. Saturday.

Author events this week at The King’s English Bookshop include:

The bookstore’s Local Author Showcase at 7 p.m. Tuesday features Utah writers with new books including Chester Crowley, Christine Geery, Steve Jaynes and Diana Oaks.

Utah author Scott Savage reads from his book “Case File 13: Zombie Kid” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

These are free events at the bookstore, 1511 E. 1500 South, Salt Lake City.
