EDEN — Wolf Mountain Resort may be covered in white snow, but the resort will “Ski Pink” on Saturday to help build awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for Utah’s Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Wolf Mountain, in Ogden Valley, will donate $1 from each lift ticket sale and every $10 in food sold on that date.
To encourage the community to participate, the first 100 people to purchase lift tickets that day in person will receive a free pair of pink sunglasses.
The day will also feature horse-drawn sleigh rides, an auction to benefit the charity, ski races for individuals and families and live music.
As a show of ongoing support, Wolf Mountain Resort’s Women’s Ski and Board Program will provide free group lessons and lunch once a month for breast cancer survivors.
Money raised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation supports breast cancer education, screening and treatment services for Utah’s medically underserved.
Funds also support research grants through the foundation.
