David and JoAnn Spinden of Ogden will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Family and friends may attend an open house in their honor from 2 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 12 at Ogden Comfort Suites, 2250 S. 1200 West, Ogden.
They were married on Jan. 12, 1963, at Haines House in South Ogden. He was born in Ogden, graduating from Ben Lomond High School. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoys working on old cars (especially his Model A), and going to car shows. He is involved in the Stags and Model A clubs.She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, graduating from Bonneville High School. She is a homemaker, taking care of her children and now grandchildren. She worked for the Bank of Utah. She was the secretary of a women’s bowling league.
They enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, traveling with the Model A Club and being with friends.
Their children and spouses are Shelly Jo and David Wahlstrom, Roy; Rusty and Vickie Spinden, Ogden; Jason and Jennifer Spinden, Liberty Lake, Wash.; and Alaina and Ryan Neumeyer, Ogden.
They have 10 grandchildren.
