SALT LAKE CITY — The woman accused of crashing into an office building to hit her estranged husband has been sentenced to one year in jail, followed by 36 months of probation.
A Salt Lake City judge ruled Tuesday that Brenda White must also perform 300 hours of community service and pay more than $29,000 in restitution.
White pleaded guilty in August to aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
Court spokeswoman Nancy Volmer says $24,000 of the restitution will go toward repairing damage to the office building.
White was accused of hitting her ex-husband twice, breaking his left leg, with her Ford Explorer after crashing through the office building in Salt Lake County in 2006.
